Chinley Station 1980


This photograph was taken in May 1980 and shows a Nottingham to Glasgow express passing through the station shortly after this service was rerouted from the Settle and Carlisle line as part of the run down before closure proposals.
The S & C was reprieved exactly twenty five years ago this year.
